Requirements
Experience of managing a team in a fast paced environment
To do a job you need to be someone who can talk to people and share what you know what you have learned from your experiences and the best ways of doing things like the best practices. You have to be good, at sharing your knowledge and experience and telling people about the practices.
You will need to be able to build relationships with people like key stakeholders in all areas. This means you have to be good at talking to them and working with them. At the time you have to be flexible and able to adjust to new things. Building relationships, with stakeholders is very important and you have to do it in all areas.
You have to be able to deal with changes. The company is always doing things differently. You must be good, at speaking up when you do not agree with something. You have to be able to challenge things at the same time. Dealing with change and challenging things effectively is very important.
As a Senior Manager you will really pay attention to what the customers and colleaguesre saying and then you will give them a good response. You will listen to the customers and the colleagues. Then you will talk to them in a way that makes sense. The customers and the colleagues will feel like they are being heard by the Senior Manager.

Responsibilities
We started from a market stall in Bradford and now we are one of the biggest supermarket companies in the United Kingdom. The Yorkshire food retailer is what we are. We are very proud of it. We have stores, over the United Kingdom almost 500 of them and we also have a service that delivers food to your home when you order it online.
Our business is mainly, about food and grocery. We do something that's not common. We get and prepare most of the fresh food that we sell through our own places where we make things. We are looking for a good Night Manager to help our food and grocery business keep getting bigger and do well.
Our colleagues work hard all through the night to make sure our stores are ready for the thousands of customers who will come into our stores the very next day. As a Night Manager your job is to help our colleagues and make sure they have what they need to do their work so our stores are always ready, for our customers. Our stores need to be ready for our customers and our colleagues are counting on the Night Manager to make this happen.
You will report to the Store Manager. You will also:
Ability to always think about the customer and do what is best for them. Should be able to work together with your colleagues to make sure the customer is happy, with the service we provide. The customer should always come first when we are making decisions. Lead the customer service team. Empower the colleagues to do their job well and deliver great customer service to the customer. This means that the customer will get the service possible from our team. We should always try to make the customer happy and solve any problems they have. Lead and empower colleagues to deliver customer service to the customer every time.
Listen and respond to our customers feedback and react accordingly
Ensure market leading availability across the store.
Work with the other Managers in store to lead a supportive and performance driven department
Efficiently manage all people routines, taking accountability of department(s) scheduling, absence, performance and talent conversations
We need to give the team the training they need so they can do their jobs well. The training should help the team have the skills and feel confident to do their roles. We want to make sure the team has the capability to deliver their role and also feel confident when they are doing it. This way the team will be able to do their jobs and deliver their role without any problems.
Enable colleagues to work with confidence across various departments
Identify and develop talent within the department
Build effective relationships with other operating departments
Lead colleagues to work with purpose, delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets across the department(s)
Take a leadership role within the store
We need to make sure that the resource is planned carefully. The resource needs to be thought about and organized in a way to get everything just right. Planning the resource is a part of this and it requires a lot of attention to detail. The resource must be planned thoroughly so that everything works out as it should.
