As a Software Engineer II in the Microsoft Start Content Ecosystem & Growth team, you will directly impact billions of users by delivering safe, high-quality, and engaging content across products like Windows, Edge, Skype, and Outlook. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Experience in large scale system architecture, design, development, testing, and release, including but not limited to web applications, microservices in layers, database design, API design, performance tuning, telemetry design and analysis.
Demonstrable history of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated programming skills and knowledge of architectural patterns for large, high-scale applications.
Excellence in software engineering practices, coding and solid foundation in data structures, algorithms with demonstrated testing, debugging and analytical skills.
Data-driven mindset. Ability to analyse data and persuade your team using effective analysis.
Excellent learning, problem solving and communication skills.
Comfortable working and communicating across teams in different regions — you’ll be collaborating with engineers both locally and globally.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
